CAD data is used to design the dies and cutting paths for the machining centers and wire EDM in our tool room.  We also download the production data to our turret presses and laser.  We primarily use "Autocad" software with a "Striker" add-on package which customizes it for metalworking.  We also have stations for "Pro-E" and "Solidworks", and IGES transfer capability for any other type of design software.
